Given our love for Top Gun, Maverick and Charlie’s first litter was naturally named with a Top Gun theme! Born on April 27, 2023, The Tipsy Rabbit is excited to introduce: Amelia, Admiral’s Daughter, Payback, Iceman, Fanboy, Bravo Bob, Phoenix, and Hangman.. As the first litter from this pair, we had high hopes and expectations—and our TopDog class truly delivered! This pioneering litter highlighted the bright-eyed intelligence of their parents, featuring the sire’s athletic build with long legs and the dam’s strong retrieval instincts and keen sense of smell. The pups quickly learned commands like "sit," "shake," and "kennel," making them a well-mannered bunch before going to new homes. 101 SPOTS
Maverick and Charlie’s second litter, born on January 2, 2024, quickly displayed a delightful array of liver patches and ticking that appeared rapidly! With so many spots, we chose a Disney theme for their names. The Tipsy Rabbit is excited to introduce our spotted crew: Pongo, Lucky, Jewell, Patch, Fidget, Swifty, Bruno, and Spot! This litter mastered litter box training so swiftly that they earned the privilege of exploring the living room during the day. This extra time gave them the chance to interact more with their sire, who stepped up admirably, setting a great example for them to follow. The pups thrived on their time spent with their sire and older brother. Their new families were thrilled with the smooth transition and the ease of potty training. CHEERS TO ADVENTURE!
Flipping the Bird and Maverick's Dakota Duchess have just welcomed their third litter! Born on September 6th, this litter features 5 handsome boys and 4 beautiful girls. This litter’s theme is “Cheers to Adventure”! The TTR GSP TopDog family cannot wait for you to celebrate the excitement and joy of embarking on new adventures with your beloved GSP puppy! Cheers to creating cherished memories, and enjoying the special bond formed with your new companion. The puppies will be ready for their new homes by the end of October, with go-home appointments set for the weekend of October 26th. Check out their gallery page by clicking the link below! Meet the Christner family, the proud owners of The Tipsy Rabbit GSP Top Dog Kennel! We’re a small, family-run kennel in Southeast Texas where our love for family extends to our furry friends. Our dogs are cherished members of our family, and when you bring one of our pups home, you’re joining that family too. Our kids, whether living at home or not, are deeply involved in caring for and socializing our special breed. We are passionate about ensuring our pups are loved and well-cared for, and finding them the perfect forever home is our TOP priority.

In loving memory of our boy that started it all, Shotgun Tex.
Tex was our first GSP & he came into our family at full speed and completed us. True to the breed's nature, Tex was an excellent retriever and excelled at long-distance running. His endurance ceased to amaze us. Tex took every command very seriously but at the end of the day, he was nothing more than a furry bundle of GSP love.
Tex lived and loved BIG & before we were ready he crossed the rainbow bridge. If love could have saved you, you’d have lived forever buddy.
Guardian Family
We’re thrilled to introduce the Sadler family as TTR's very first guardian family! But you might be wondering, what exactly is a Guardian Family?
A guardian family plays a crucial role in our breeding program by providing one of our exceptional dogs with a loving, forever home while partnering with us to maintain their health, training, and development. This unique arrangement allows our dogs to thrive in a family environment while contributing to the future of our program.
Robert and his wife, Kelly, have been married for nearly 21 years and live in Conroe, Texas, with their three children. After years as a Labrador Retriever family, the Sadlers fell in love with the German Shorthaired Pointer breed, and their journey with Remi has been nothing short of extraordinary. Their dedication to her training and care reflects their love for this incredible breed, and we couldn’t ask for a better family to represent our program!

Meet Roxi, the Sadler family's second GSP and a true rescue success story! Kelly first learned about Roxi through her best friend, who spotted the skinny, skittish pup roaming her neighborhood. A group of caring neighbors managed to earn Roxi's trust enough to get her into their backyards, but she kept escaping.
Determined to help, Kelly’s best friend eventually tracked down the house where Roxi belonged. When they found Roxi tied to a tree with no shade, Kelly knew it was time to step in. Underfed and covered in fleas, Roxi was clearly in need of a better home. Kelly approached the owners, who agreed to relinquish Roxi to the Sadler family.
With plenty of patience and TLC, Roxi quickly came out of her shell and found her place in the family. She has since bonded beautifully with her GSP sister, Remi, and is now thriving in her forever home. Roxi's journey is a testament to the power of love and care to transform a dog's life!
